I guess this is an about me section.
My name is Vince. I’m from Michigan, South East area, self employed, father and somewhat forgetful.
Originally this blog was created as a means to remember certain things as I was coming to terms with knowing my marriage was ending. The lessons I learned along the way, things that brought me to that path and things I needed to remember for future reference. Most entries are kept private because they deal with things that should not be shared in a public forum. Then there are other things I like to share like fond memories and pictures I take while on vacations or walking along my favorite nature trails.
In time this section will change as no doubt things in life change. I’ll always be a father and hard worker but other aspects of my life will change as things do for all of us. My idea is to move forward and make a better path even if I do look back sometimes at lessons I’ve learned.

I’ve been there Vince. I too sacrificed for my children and stayed where I thought they would flourish. They are grown now, and now its my time to flourish. What’s funny is that I am moving to Arizona in two months. Maybe when its your time I will see your there. 🙂

Hi there. I’ve been exploring your blog. I like what you write about how your relationship (all our relationships!) encouraged you to become a better person. Sometimes I think that’s the biggest reason for difficult/painful connections. I love your photography – very beautiful. I hope you get to Arizona one day. It sounds like your heart is there, even though it’s also with your family.

I’m very sorry that you’re dealing with a divorce, especially with four kids. My heart goes out to you.
I read through some of your posts and very much enjoyed them. My preference is always to go with blogs that come from the heart, which yours is certainly doing.

p.s. Loved the remark about smartphones while you were at the barbershop. One of my girls is way too “connected” and it drives me up the wall. Turn the darn thing off when you come home for a visit and focus! She’s grown so I can’t take it away. 😉

By the way, I’m also following your blog, but had to do it via email as I couldn’t see the “Follow” button that usually appears on top and let’s folks use that so it sends all new posts into our Reader, rather than clog up our emails. Did I just miss that option on your somehow – I was very tired at the time – or have you set it up to have followers only by email?
